We are thrilled to be organising the 'Hitchin Fireworks Extravaganza' 2017!
Hitchin Priory Hotel will be the venue of this 'fiery' event, with tickets 'hot' off the press and available to you NOW!! With amazing food supplied by some 'red hot' local chefs, eateries and restaurants... you need to come hungry!

A few things that you might need to know:
⭐️ Gates open at 5:00pm
⭐️ There is no parking onsite - please use the public car parks around Hitchin town
⭐️ Please come hungry the food is going to be AMAZING!
⭐️ The event is suitable for all ages and abilities
⭐️ We recommend that you buy all tickets in advance to avoid the big queues
⭐️ Please do not bring sparklers
⭐️ Children under 2 years old do not need a ticket
⭐️ Please bring the correct change on the night!
⭐️ For security reasons we do have the right to search your bags

The Ladder Crew would like to invite you to BUILD A GUY!!
In finest Guy Fawkes tradition, come and take part in our Grand Parade and display on Saturday 4th November (10:00am - 4:00pm). If you are a school, community or social group, children's club, nursery, business or team (you name it, we want you!!) then get involved. Each Guy will then have the opportunity to show off its wares (please bring a plaque or sign to display with your group name on) at the display where the people of Hitchin will be invited to donate 'a penny for the Guy'. All monies raised will be kept by the designers for their own charity or cause.
The Guy that raises the most money by the will take pride of place on top of this years 'Hitchin Fireworks Fire'. How exciting!!
Come down, get involved, raise some money for your charity or cause and support our town!
The Guy Design
- Maximum 6Ft tall
- Must only be made using textiles and natural fibres
- Must only be stuffed with newspaper and/or straw
- Must NOT contain any plastics, rubber or electronics
All Guys must be in position in the Market Place on Saturday 4th November 2017 by 10:00am. If you are a local business and wish to display your Guy outside of your business then please let us know.
For safety, all guys will be inspected on the 4th November and will only go on the bonfire if they are safe to do so.
Ladder 87 are committed to safety and promote the following messages:
- Only attend an organised display in order to reduce the risk of injury or accidents
- Always read the instructions if you chose to buy and use your own fireworks
- Keep pets safe and inside at all times
- Watch fireworks from a safe distance
- Only adults should prepare, light and attend to fireworks.. even when they have cooled down
- Make sure all fireworks are disposed of correctly (according to the instructions)
- Never return to firework.. it may still be hot!
- Never put fireworks or sparklers in your pockets
- Never go near a naked flame
- Never use accelerants (for example paraffin or petrol) on a fire.
